WE ARE TO REOPEN THE CLINIC ON APRIL 12TH IN LINE WITH GOVERNMENT GUIDELINES. DETAILS ON CORONAVIRUS MEASURES WILL BE COMMUNICATED CLOSER TO THE TIME ONCE WE KNOW THE SPECIFICS/
On the 9/7/2020 we were given the go ahead to reopen and resume or services provided we meet the specific requirements and guidelines set by the government.
You can trust that as a clinic we are closely following government and professional guidelines in regards to how we will operate once face to face appointments resume. With this, you can rest assured that the clinic and pracitioners will be adhering to all advice given in order to ensure your safety and wellbeing! (More info on this to follow!).

Coronavirus is a huge part in all our lives now and of course the world has changed as a result of the pandemic. This is no different at Gittins Sports Therapy & Wellness Clinic, were we have implemented a number of measures and updated procedures, policy's and the clinic itself in order to provide you with a safe and secure environment to enjoy your treatments in a space that you can rest assured has taken aboard all relevant guidelines.
Our site risk assessment identifies a low risk of transmission due to the mitigating factors we have introduced
STEP BY STEP WHAT TO EXPECT:
Booking your appointment-We have updated our ONLINE BOOKING SYSTEM to make it easier than ever to book your appointments online, we have temporarily removed the 'pay at the clinic' option to prevent unnecessary handing of cash. You will notice times might look a little different when looking for appointments, this is because we have included a 15 minute interval between appointments to a) Clean high contact surfaces between clients and b) Limit use of the waiting area and prevent overcrowding at the clinic.
Pre Appointment- After you have booked your appointment, you will be contacted by the clinic with all of our new policys and procedures, you will also be sent a COVID PRE SCREENING FORM, this will include questions on regards to your health and flag up any issues for us, particularly in regards to new contraindications, THIS MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE YOUR APPOINTMENT. If you are a new client you will also receive a NEW CLIENT CONSENT form, this is to again limit the use of the waiting area and limit use of pens etc.
Arriving at the Clinic- We ask that you arrive ON TIME for the appointment and not early, and were possible to wait in your car. Our waiting room will still be of use and will have socially distanced easily cleanable seating available. We also ask that you ARRIVE ALONE were possible and to leave belonging in your car/at home. We have HAND SANITIZING STATIONS available in the clinic, we ask that you use them before and after you appointment. NHS Track and Trace is now at the clinic, this can be scanned in our welcome area and treatment rooms. We also have FACE MASKS AVAILABLE for clients, however we ask that you wear your own.. Your therapist will likely be cleaning when you arrive, and you should not have to sit and wait with the introduction of our new buffer times.
The Treatment- Treatments will remain very much the same, however of course implementing new strategies to maintain pristine hygiene in the treatment room.:
Your Therapist- You can rest assured your therapist will be maintaining the highest standards in regards to self hygiene and clinic policy. Your therapist will be frequently washing their hands, particularly between clients. They will also be wearing the appropriate PPE. Government guidelines currently suggest for close contact surfaces that they wear a shield visor when with clients, these will be compulsory, Any extra PPE will be down to therapist and patient preference, we will have additional PPE available if it makes you feel more comfortable, however it is deemed unnecessary. We will also be using the TEST AND TRACE SYSTEM.
Following Your Treatment- After your treatment ends, we ask that you use the hand sanitizing station before leaving and try to avoid waiting in the welcome room were possible.
Cleaning- We have implemented 15 MINUTE CLEANING PERIODS between clients, this will have a focus on high contact areas such as door handles, seats, treatment beds etc. We usually have three therapists in at once, so you can rest assured the cleanliness of the clinic will be perfect. At the beginning and end of each day, the clinic will have a full DEEP CLEAN. We will be using the appropriate sanitizing agents and avoid cross contamination, we are trained in quality cleaning procedure.
Bathroom- We have added a PAPER TOWEL DISPENSER and FOOT PEDAL BIN to the bathroom, were possible we ask that you use the bathroom before arriving, however you are still welcome to use ours.
Virtual Appointments- Were appropriate, we will be offering ONLINE APPOINTMENTS, these will be offered to clients that we deem unsafe for face-face treatments or available as an option for you if you feel safer to do so.
Mobile Appointments- We wil also be offering MOBILE APPOINTMENTS if you are more comfortable with that option. These can be booked online and will be priced accordingly.
We are working super hard to ensure the clinic is as safe and secure as possible and we ask that you can help us help you by reading this and following the guidance.
